AI KPI dashboard
An AI KPI dashboard where the AI never writes a KPI's value
Pick the KPIs you want from a library, and each one is worked out from your own trial balance — the same way every month, and traceable to the ledgers behind it. AI helps you build the dashboard. It does not supply the numbers on it.

Pick a KPI from the library, and it is on the board in one click
The KPI library holds more than forty KPIs in six groups. Most are worked out by the engine whenever your month is run, so adding one puts a card on the dashboard at once, with no AI call and no charge. A KPI already on the board says so, whoever put it there.
- ProfitGross margin, EBITDA margin, net profit margin, effective tax rate
- CostsEmployee cost to revenue, operating cost ratio, finance costs
- Cash and liquidityCash from operations, current ratio, quick ratio, interest cover
- Working capitalDebtor days, creditor days, inventory days, cash conversion cycle
- GrowthRevenue growth on last month and on last year, EBITDA growth
- PeopleHeadcount, revenue per employee, average gross pay
A KPI the library does not compute is built by asking for it
Some KPIs combine figures in a way the engine does not hold ready — interest cover, revenue per employee, the cash ratio. Choosing one opens the assistant with the request already written, so you see the price of the message before anything is charged. The chat turns the request into a formula over your stored figures, and the engine evaluates it. Any number in the formula is one you typed or one the arithmetic itself needs, like the hundred in a percentage.
A KPI your books cannot support says what would bring it
A KPI that needs figures your books do not hold is greyed out with the reason — needs a payroll file, needs an ageing report, needs the same month last year on the board. Nobody pays to be told no about a KPI from the list.
Every KPI says how it is worked out, and you can change that by asking
Each box on the dashboard has a short note on how its figures are worked out, in words: EBITDA is revenue less direct costs, employee cost and other operating expenses. If your business counts it differently, ask for that in the chat. The box is then worked out your way and given a name of its own, so the dashboard never shows two different figures under one name.
An AI KPI generator that writes the values is a liability
An AI KPI dashboard generator that hands a spreadsheet to a model and asks for KPIs will return figures that look right. Some will be computed on the wrong base, and you cannot tell which without redoing the work. An AI KPI generator is useful for choosing what to measure and how to lay it out; the arithmetic belongs to something that does it the same way every time. See the KPIs and ratios in a monthly report for how each is worked out by hand.
A KPI dashboard for small business owners that keeps itself up to date
Each month’s trial balance refreshes every KPI on the board. When the ledger structure has not changed, that refresh makes no AI calls at all, and the dashboard you arranged is kept as it is.
What people ask about an AI KPI dashboard
Can AI generate KPIs from my financial data?
It can choose and arrange them; it should not compute them. Here the dashboard a company starts with is chosen from the figures its books actually hold, and every KPI value is worked out by the engine from the mapped trial balance. A KPI the list does not compute is built by the chat as a formula the engine evaluates, never as a number the model writes.
What KPIs should a small business track?
A handful, not forty: one for profit (gross margin), one for cost control (employee cost to revenue), one for cash (cash and bank, or how long it lasts), and one for working capital (debtor days). Add the KPIs your business actually runs on after that. A KPI nobody acts on is decoration.
Does adding a KPI cost anything?
A KPI the library already computes is added at once with no charge, because its figures were worked out when the month was run. One the chat has to build costs a chat message, shown before you send it.
Can I export the KPI dashboard?
Yes. Save it as a PDF as arranged, download the figures as Excel tables, present it live, or send a read-only link to a frozen copy that you can withdraw.
