AI for Tally
AI for Tally: a checked monthly MIS from your TallyPrime data, with nothing to install
The books are closed in Tally. What usually follows is an evening in Excel: export the trial balance, paste it into last month's workbook, fix the lookups that broke, and write the notes. That is the job this does — from the raw reports, without touching the books.

Most AI for TallyPrime works inside the books; this works on the month after they close
Most AI tools for TallyPrime are add-ons that help with entry and reconciliation: posting vouchers, matching bank lines, checking GST. They live inside Tally and change what is in it.
AI for Tally here does a different job. It starts once the month is closed, from the reports you export, and produces the monthly MIS — the P&L for the month and year to date, a balance sheet summary, ratios, debtors and creditors ageing, a dashboard and commentary. If you were looking for a Tally AI tool for the month-end MIS rather than for data entry, this is that.
Take the raw reports, not a formatted MIS
- Trial Balance, ledger by ledgerThe balances the whole MIS is built from, one for each month you report.
- Bills Receivable and Bills PayableOutstanding bills with their due dates, for debtors and creditors ageing.
- Profit & Loss A/c and Balance SheetOptional, to check the MIS back against the books.
Which reports to take and the export settings that matter are on the MIS report from Tally guide.
Tally's groups are read first, and AI maps only what they leave open
A Tally trial balance already says a great deal: every ledger sits under a group, and Sundry Debtors, Duties & Taxes or Direct Expenses decide most of the MIS on their own. Those groups are read first, then your confirmed mapping and a library of common ledger names. AI is asked only about what is left, and a ledger it cannot place is shown as Unmapped for you to decide, never guessed.
Party ledgers under Sundry Debtors and Sundry Creditors are replaced with tokens before anything reaches the model, so customers’ and suppliers’ names never leave in the clear.
Every figure is computed from your ledgers, and every one opens onto them
The AI writes no number. Totals, margins, ratios and variances are computed by a deterministic engine, checked to tie back to the trial balance, and shown in lakhs and crores if that is how you read them. Open any figure and you see the ledgers it was added up from. The workbook can also carry a Schedule III balance sheet and profit and loss drawn from the same mapped balances.
Next month is a refresh, not another AI job
Once the mapping is confirmed it is kept for the company. When next month’s trial balance has the same structure, the refresh is arithmetic and makes no AI calls at all; a new or renamed ledger comes back to you to place, and the rest is reused.
What people ask about AI for Tally
Is there an AI tool for Tally that makes the monthly MIS?
Yes — Magic MIS takes the raw reports TallyPrime already produces and returns a checked MIS workbook with the P&L and year to date, a balance sheet summary, ratios, ageing where the bills are loaded, a dashboard and written commentary. AI reads the files, maps ledgers Tally's groups leave open and drafts the words; every figure is computed by the engine.
Does it need a TDL, a plugin or a connector in Tally?
No. Nothing is installed beside Tally and nothing connects to your Tally installation. You export the reports you would export anyway and upload the files.
Is there AI for Tally ERP 9 as well as TallyPrime?
The same product reads both. Files are read by their column headings rather than fixed positions, so an export from Tally.ERP 9 and one from TallyPrime are read the same way.
Can it post entries or change anything in my Tally books?
No. It reads exports and never writes to your books. Vouchers, reconciliations and GST returns stay in Tally.
Who can see my Tally data?
No member of our staff can open your files. They are sealed under a key for that company, every opening by the server is on a record you can see, and the AI model receives only a redacted sample and ledger names, never a whole file and never your parties' names.
Not a Tally product, and not connected to your Tally
Tally, TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9 are trademarks of Tally Solutions. Magic MIS is independent: it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tally Solutions, and it works from the files you export rather than from any connection to your Tally installation.
